Merrill Cook's 2nd Congressional District opponent has blown in from California with a fistful of cash he got from high-priced attorneys and demands that we vote for him. Well, I've got some questions: When Cook stumped this state gathering signatures for tax limitation, where was his opponent? When Cook used his own time and money to stop light rail in its tracks, where was his opponent? When Cook fought for term limits, a repeal of the sales tax on food and a host of other reforms, where was his opponent? I opposed Cook in the past, but I'll support him now because his actions have proven he's always been on our side. The last thing we need is another California carpetbagger.
