A 2-year-old girl fell from a fourth floor window and survived, police said. Doctors were conducting tests to determine the extent of her injuries.
The girl was conscious and alert when ambulance attendants arrived at the scene of the accident Tuesday night, police said. The girl's name was not released.Witnesses said the girl climbed on to a window sill, lost her balance and fell backward through a window screen.
"The screen just popped out and down she came," said police Sgt. Kevin Trudell.
A six-foot tree helped break her fall.
