John Robert Hamilton, age 82, died June 4, 1996 in Salt Lake City.
Born October 20, 1913 in Portola, California to John Robert and Eva May Hamilton. Married Alverda Gerber, August 5, 1939 in Salt Lake City. She passed away March 1, 1994.He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed making different items which he usually gave away to his many friends. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.
Survived by his children, Donna Lynne Hamilton, West Valley City; Victor J. Hamilton, Layton, Utah; and Mrs. Fred (Patricia) Schwemin, Taylorsville, Utah; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hamilton Halverson.
