Eyring told the 242-member graduating class that lifelong learning not only is the ticket to a financially secure future, it also will help one's spiritual growth. Elder Eyring extolled the value of never losing a childlike enthusiasm for learning and said he developed his message by watching the best lifelong learners he'd ever seen - the prophets who have headed The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - and by observing four habits that have served those men well. Those habits are: be a reader, seek new challenges, forget what is no longer true and produce more than you consume. He said President Gordon B. Hinckley is especially inspiring because he eagerly explores new ideas and is continually learning. Please see story on Page B5.
