Robert Thorsell Forbes, 74, loving husband and father, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 1996 of cancer.
Born September 5, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bernardine Thorsell and George Byron Day Forbes. Married Connie Gay Vincent, June 16, 1981. He graduated from East High School where he played football, baseball, basketball and also participated in track and field events. He attended the University of Southern California where he studied architecture for two years. He was drafted in 1942 and served in the Marine Corps in both World War II and the Korean War. He returned home to help run a motel, owned and operated by the family. He enjoyed pool, bowling, golf and playing pinochle with his friends, who fondly knew him as Frosty.He is survived by his wife, Connie and daughter, Bernardina; sister, Mary Bosworth. Preceded in death by his mother and father.
The viewing is Friday, 6-8, Memorial Estates, 5850 So. 900 East. Also one hour prior to services, Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View, 3115 East 7800 So. Interment at Mountain View.
