Emma Myrtle Sims Damjanovich, 77, died Thursday, June 6, 1996, in Crescent, Utah, after an extended illness.
She was born May 14, 1919, to Thomas and Melissa Gurney Sims. She was raised in Lehi, Utah. Emma married Nick Damjanovich on August 2, 1940, and moved to Crescent, Utah. She worked side-by-side with him on the family farm as they raised their children, Diane, Robert and Colleen. She then became a secretary at Hercules. She was a member of the LDS Church.Emma was an excellent bowler, winning many championships with her husband and her ladies'teams. She loved fishing, outdoors, traveling and the Utah Jazz.
The main focus of her life was her family. She will be remembered and deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Survived by her husband; a sister, Mabel (Wes) Ainsworth; a brother, George (Wanda); her children, Diane (Victor) Dykman; son, Robert (Kathy); daughter, Colleen (Loren Lamb); grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, Rob, Angi, Mandy, Mark, Nikki and E.J.; great-grandchildren, Ciara, Brock, Madison and Branson. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Millie and Alice; brothers, Tom, Glen, Don, Elmer and Marvin; and one great-grandson, Skyler.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 1996, 12 noon at the Crescent 1st Ward, 116 East 11400 South, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, and Monday at the Ward from 11:-11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
