Elder Augusto A. Lim, 62, first counselor in the Philippines/Micronesia Area, called as president of the Philippines Temple, succeeding Pres. Myron L. Francom. Pres. Lim's wife, Myrna Garcia Morillo Lim, will serve as temple matron. Elder Lim, who has served in the Second Quorum of the Seventy since 1992, is former president of the Philippines Naga Mission, regional representative, stake president, temple sealer, mission president's counselor, and branch president. An attorney who founded a law firm in Manila, he graduated with a bachelor of law degree from Silliman University at Dumaguete City, Philippines. He was born in Santa Cruz, Marinduque, Philippines, to Leon B. and Beatriz R. Alandy Lim. Sister Lim has served as ward Relief Society president, district and branch Primary president, and stake Primary and Relief Society president's counselor. She was born in Malabon, Philippines, to Jose de Guzman and Sebastiana Garcia Morillo.
