In the June 3 issue of Readers' Forum were two letters referencing Jazz players. These letters were titled "Utah Jazz are the epitome of class" and "Jazz players are true champions." It is apparent that the writers were not observing the players during the playing of the national anthem prior to the opening of the games.
Only one of these so-called "great role models" showed the proper respect; the rest stood casually with their hands behind their backs. Some were even talking to teammates. Whereas all but two of the Sonics players were showing the respect that true role models should exhibit.James F. Nielsen
