Dora Celesta Hunt Christensen, 95, of Richfield, Utah, died June 6, 1996 in Richfield.
She was born December 14, 1900 in Unionville, Missouri to George and Nellie Vilora Kearns Hunt. She married William Christensen in 1919. The marriage was later solemized in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death May 15, 1967.She was active in the LDS Church. She served in the Primary for 30 years, MIA for 20 years and in various callings in the Relief Society. She was employed by Christensen's Dept. Store for 15 years.
She is survived by three sons, Sharm and Diann Christensen, Layton; Ken and Sunny Christensen, St. George; David and Lois Christensen, Ogden; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, Roscoe Hunt, Unionville, Missouri; Hallie Pollock, Unionville, Missouri; Mary Phyllis Duffy, Fontana, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Laverne Christensen, Scottsdale, Ariz.; son-in-law, Mel Tietjen, Phoenix, Ariz. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Thord Christensen; two daughters, Shiela Shappell and Dolores Tietjen; two granddaughters, Cathy Christensen and Suzanne Christensen; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Richfield 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 159 North 400 West. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
