Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, John F. Meadows, died July 7, 1996.
He was born March 5, 1906 in Coalville, Utah, to John Benjamin and Mary Jane Wilde Meadows. Married Audra Gladys Zoller; later divorced. Married Lola H. Glines Davis, August 9, 1965; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, December 12, 1966.He was a carpenter and millwright, a member of Carpenter's Union #184 for 55 years, last position held was director of compassionate services. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church, an avid bowler, fisherman and loved dancing.
Survived by wife, Lola H. Meadows; brother, Roy Meadows, Coalville; sisters, Elva Staley, Evanston, Wyoming; Grautel Staley, Spanish Fork; Pauline Sheen, Salt Lake; children, Gene Meadows, Arman Meadows, Aleta Meadows, Jolayne Vrazel and Jay Meadows, all Salt Lake; Areda Street, Lehi; stepchildren, Lloyd Davis, Buena Park, Calif.; Wayne Davis, Bountiful; Myrth Evans and Linda Garrett, West Valley City; 43 grandchildren, 119 great grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Murray 1st Ward, 363 East Vine St. Friends may call Thursday, 7-9 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. and Friday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
