A July 4 stabbing in Salt Lake City that was sparked by an argument over $1.69 yielded felony charges Tuesday against a Salt Lake man.
The man, 26, was charged with aggravated assault, a second degree felony, for stabbing Gary H. Harmon in the abdomen just below the sternum with a kitchen knife, according to documents filed in 3rd Circuit Court.The stabbing occurred at the victim's apartment near 400 East and 300 South. Harmon was admitted to LDS hospital in critical condition and released Sunday. .
The suspect was in the Salt Lake County Jail Tuesday. Bail is set at $10,000.
