Sam Bren, president of the Waikiki Neighborhood Board, takes a seat on one of the out-of-date toilets stored at The Environmental Group property Tuesday. Bren is working with the company to get the Honolulu City Council to use parts of the toilets as artificial reefs. A law requiring efficient toilets will put about 10,000 of them out of date, and some will head for the dump if another use can't be found for them.
