A vegetarian cooking school will be held Monday through Thursday, July 15-18, at the Boys and Girls Club, 150 N. 1060 East. The program begins at 7 each evening.

Sponsored by the Provo Seventh-day Adventist Church, presenters will be Ruth Brown, professional vegetarian cook, and Dr. Charles Smith, local physician and health lecturer.Participants must pre-register by calling the Smith Clinic, 371-7077 or Pastor Dan Martella, 226-3835. Cost per person is $20, or $25 for couples sharing literature.

Topics for the presentations will be "The Magic of Soy Beans," "Quick and Healthy Meals," "Summer deLIGHTS" and "Men in the Kitchen." Health topics include cholesterol and heart disease, weight control and cancer.

Smith will also discuss obstacles to changing to a vegetarian diet, alternative protein choices and ways to increase longevity and quality of life.
