Davis County
At its meeting Wednesday, July 10, the Davis County Commission:
- Acknowledged an achievement award to Davis Mental Health for its prenatal substance abuse prevention program from the National Association of Counties.
- Approved an option agreement to sell 76 shares of water the county owns for $1,700 per share. The option expires July 29.
- Signed a letter of agreement with the state court administrator allowing the state to begin preliminary work on a 4.7-acre parcel the state is negotiating to buy to expand the district court complex in west Farmington.
Farmington
In its meeting Wednesday, July 10, the Farmington City Council:
- Heard a presentation on the county Centennial Committee's proposed legacy project in front of the Davis County Courthouse.
- Reviewed a site proposal for the office building the council, acting as the Municipal Building Authority, is constructing for the school district in downtown Farmington.
- Approved the trade of water shares the city owns on property in west Farmington.
- Approved a final contract of $805,000 for construction of a swimming pool and restroom renovation on Main Park.
- Approved a contract to offer counseling services to city employees.
- Reviewed a revised development agreement for the business and residential area proposed in the triangle between U.S. 89 and I-15 south of Shepard Lane.
