Ora Bartholomew Talmage, 77, died Wednesday, July 10, 1996 in Provo, Utah of cancer.

She was born November 5, 1918 in Fayette, Utah, the daughter of Floyd and Pearl Larsen Bartholomew. She married George Gardner Talmage June 20, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away on August 30, 1967. She graduated from Springville High School. She was employed by Utah Sportswear for 31 years, retiring in February of 1996. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, craftwork, and cooking. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Survivors include two sons and one daughter: William G. Bill (Kathy) Talmage, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Helen (Jim) Simkins, Springville; Paul D. (Janice) Talmage, Layton; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by six brothers and four sisters: Hettie Ostler, Springville; Vivian Peay, Phoenix, Ariz.; Vera (Joe) Boswell, Springville; Miriam (Albert) Mitchell, Springville; Eldon (Lena) Bartholomew, Springville; Wayne (Margaret) Bartholomew, Springville; Oral (June) Bartholomew, Spanish Fork; Owen (Jackie) Bartholomew, Tacoma, Wash.; Gail (Jackie) Bartholomew, Willows, Calif.; and Dan (Lois) Bartholomew, Springville. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork 15th Ward LDS Chapel, 310 East Center. Friends may call Friday evening at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork from 6-7:30 p.m., and Saturday morning at the ward Relief Society room one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
