After a long, full life, Barta passed away Tuesday, July 9, 1996 due to age.
Barta was born January 27, 1909 in Franklin, Idaho to John Frankling and Sarah Cutler Doney. Her parents were blessed with twin daughters, Barta and Melba, they were the youngest of seven children. She was the last of her family to return to our Father-in-Heaven. Hazen Morrell Jamison and Barta were married on June 7, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. Her loving companion passed away on her birthday, January 27, 1985 after 51 years of dedicated marriage. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held numerous church positions, one including working with her husband in the LDS TempleA lifelong homemaker, she was devoted to her husband and large family. She has left a legacy that will be treasured by those who knew her and loved her.
She was the mother of seven children, five sons and two daughters, Morrell D. (Neva); Darmon L.; William L. (Alma); Don L. (Claudia); Melba J. Walton (Russell); John Mark (Margaret); Joan J. Schenk (Doug); 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Joan J. Schenk.
The family would like to give thanks to all those who have helped take care of our mom for the past few years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, 1996 at 12 noon in Franklin Stake Center in Franklin, Idaho, with Bishop Val Dean Durant officiating. Friends may call Friday, 7-9 p.m. at Webb Mortuary, 109 E. Onieda, Preston, Idaho and Saturday at Franklin Stake Center, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment, Franklin Cemetery.
