Billy Davis works on a piece of window art Wednesday at a Safeway in Fairbanks, Alaska. Davis, from Seattle, came to town for a friend's wedding and wanted to get in the spirit of Golden Days, the commemoration of the gold discovery that spurred the founding of Fairbanks in 1902. After getting permission and a commission from Safeway for the window art, Davis chose to paint the likeness of the Rev. Jim Kolb, who performed the wedding ceremony for his friends.
