Supermodel Claudia Schiffer, who arrived Thursday in Rio De Janeiro on a trip to promote locally made Grendene plastic sandals, will earn the equivalent of Brazil's monthly minimum wage for every minute she spends in the country.Schiffer, 25, is expected to earn $500,000 for three days of work, according to the O Globo TV network. That's more than 4,320 times Brazil's $112 monthly minimum wage.

Schiffer is to film a TV commercial, appear in a fashion show and be photographed for an ad.

When she's not working, Schiffer says she plans to try the Brazilian national dish of feijoada - a black bean stew made with pigs feet and other pork products.
