A Layton couple arrested two months ago in what police say is the largest cocaine seizure in the county's history was arraigned this week in 2nd District Court.

Bernardo O. Haro, 21, and Linda G. Harro, 20, are charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, a second-degree felony, and possession of cocaine without tax stamps, a third-degree felony.Bernardo Haro is also charged with illegal possession of a firearm, a third-degree felony.

The two were arrested May 10 at their Layton apartment by agents from the Davis Metro Narcotics Strike Force. The agents seized seven pounds of cocaine, with a street value of $75,000, along with $1,300 in cash and a 9mm handgun.

At their arraignment Tuesday, the couple heard the charges filed against them but did not enter a plea. Judge Rodney S. Page continued the hearing to July 23.
