True Value Hardware, Payson city and the Pony and Colt baseball leagues of Payson will work on improving the community baseball diamonds, Saturday, July 13.

The project will include cleaning, repairing and painting some of the wooden bleachers, painting all dugouts and painting the snack bar. The Pony and Colt teams are going to start the project at 8 a.m. under the direction of Payson City employee Karl Teemant.True Value Hardware will provide the paint, brushes, primer, wire bristles and other equipment necessary. Henry Andrus, True Value manager, will be on hand to see that supplies are available and help supervise the project. The "Field of Dreams" theme fits in with True Value's national sponsorship of Major League Baseball.

"This is a community baseball park. It is nice to see members of the community, a local business, and users of the fields get together on a cooperative improvement project," said Mayor Russ Hillman.
