Scotland's Brian Barnes fired a 6-under-par 66 Saturday to open a three-stroke lead in the Senior British Open.
After three rounds, Barnes had a 13-under-par total of 203 in the tournament he won last year.Bob Charles of New Zealand was his closest rival at 206 after a third-round 69. American David Oakley also shot 69 and was at 208.
"If I keep playing like this, I shall be hard to beat," said Barnes, who shot a even-par 72 in the first round.
But with poor weather forecast for Sunday, Barnes said nothing was certain.
