Highland

At its Tuesday, July 9, meeting, the Highland City Council is scheduled to:

- Hear a report on the Timpanogos Special Service District.

- Consider Lloyd Guthrie's request to change the date for signing up for the pressurized irrigation system. The council will also consider Tom Williams' suggestion that the system be extended beyond the city boundary at 9451 N. 6800 West.

- Consider a lease agreement for the Adventure and Learning Park between the state Department of Human Services, Utah State Developmental Center and the city.

- Adopt the tax rate for fiscal 1996-97.

- Consider a revised public safety agreement with Alpine City.

- Consider giving the LDS Church a conditional use permit for a seminary building at the high school under construction on 4800 West.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Highland City Offices, 5378 W. 10400 North.

American Fork

In its Tuesday, July 9, meeting, the American Fork City Council is scheduled to:

- Hold a public hearing on whether to rezone property at 150 N. 1100 East and 206 N. Center St. from residential to professional office space.

- Hear a presentation on expanding the ballpark at 235 W. 400 North.

- Adopt a certified tax rate for fiscal 1996-97.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 31 N. Church St.
