Dianne Lloyd Newbold, beloved wife, angel mother, super grandmother, loving daughter, special sister and friend of legions passed away July 8, 1996 at her home. She was 60 years old.
Born in Salt Lake City, May 16, 1936, to Margaret Woodruff and Lamond Lloyd, she married Noal C. Newbold, November 4, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She is survived by four children: son, Bruce (Lynda); daughters, Melanne (David) Grammier; Juli Newbold; Anjela (Bryce) Schieving; 15 beautiful grandkids. Dianne was preceded in death by her father and sister, Gloria L. Spjut.
A graduate of Granite High School in 1954, she was active in school activities, especially music. A Charter Member of the American West Symphony Chorus and Orchestra, until illness precluded her performing. Active in the LDS Church she served in every capacity possible, rendering unique and compassionate service to ward and stake congregations. She was president of the Relief Society three times, president of Young Womens and lately was a Primary teacher. She was employed by Cottonwood Hospital for 17 years as business office receptionist.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 11, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Cottonwood Creek Stake Center, 1535 East Creek Road. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 10, 1996 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and at the stake center on Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah.
