Fire officials say they'll probably never know what started last month's fire that destroyed the Sundance administration building.
The damage from the June 27 fire that caused $2.5 million damage was so extensive that it is impossible to determine the cause, said State Fire Marshal Brent Halliday."By the time we got down in there with 2 feet of water and with the earthen roof that collapsed and the heavy equipment moving things, we were unable to establish cause. It was pretty badly burned," said Halliday.
He said an insurance investigator working alongside those from the state fire marshal's office agreed with their conclusion.
"We don't particularly feel it's arson, we're leaning toward electrical, but you can't just call it out of the sky," Halliday said.
