Salt Lake-based SOS Staffing Services Inc. said it has reached a tentative agreement to acquire Impact Staffing, a division of Pacific Design Engineering Inc. of Portland, Ore.
SOS said it will acquire the Impact Staffing offices in Portland and San Diego.SOS expects to close the deal in early August. Terms were not disclosed.
"Impact Staffing brings to SOS additional capabilities in some very attractive new markets," said Richard D. Reinhold, chairman and CEO of SOS.
"We look forward to the possibilities this transaction brings in entering our first markets outside of the Mountain States. We expect that, over time, Impact Staffing will allow us to develop a new presence on the West Coast."
SOS operates offices in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. The addition of Impact Staffing will give SOS 69 offices and will include Oregon and California.
