Criss-crossing the country to compile a photographic collage of America's greatest cities, the Polaroid "See What Develops" Road Tour will hit Salt Lake City Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3.

During the tour, Polaroid lends cameras to thousands of people, encouraging them to experience instant photography in ways they may never have imagined."Instant photography is uniquely qualified to help people communicate, explore, praise or prove," said Holly Garman, manager, marketing public relations, Polaroid Corp. "Our goal is to collect more than 15,000 photos from the 20 cities we visit this summer."

It will be hard to miss the "See What Develops" Road Tour when it arrives. Its centerpiece is a 34-foot-long motor home, completely "wrapped" in a colorful original design created for the tour by acclaimed artist Peter Max.

After the tour is completed, Polaroid will use the collected photos as the building blocks for an artistic work to celebrate the 50th anniversary of instant photography.
