Ila Mae Spencer Fowler, age 81, of Lehi, died August 8, 1996 at the American Fork Hospital of heart failure.

She was born in American Fork, Utah, May 24, 1915 to William Roderick Spencer and Bertha Pearl Anderson. She married Milan Pearce Fowler, Nov. 22, 1933 in Lehi. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Jan. 24, 1964.Hers was a life of service. She was Stake Primary President, Secretary of the Relief Society, and taught in the Sunday School and Primary. She worked in the Provo Temple for eight years and at the time of her death was involved in the name extraction program. She was on the Lehi City Coordinating Council for 16 years.

Her biggest loves were her children and grandchildren and the Church. She is survived by two daughters, Lois (Neal) Christensen, American Fork; Madge (Randy) Bryson, Lehi; daughter-in-law, Beverly Cliff) Bradley, Orem; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Ray (Marie) Spencer, Bountiful; Carl Vaughn (Venice) Spencer, Salt Lake City; Helen Beck, Alpine; Donna (Don) Crookston, Highland. A son, Richard, is deceased, as is her husband.

Funeral Monday, Aug. 12, 1996 at 12 noon in the Wines Park LDS Ward Chapel, 465 East 300 No. Friends may call at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the church, Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
