SHARE DEATH: HILDA ORTON CHIDESTER

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Hilda Orton Chidester, 88, of Panguitch, Utah, died August 10, 1996, in Panguitch after a lifetime of dedicated and loving service.

We love you, Mom. The memories will never fade. We know you are in a far better place and with loved ones.Mom was born April 17, 1908, in Panguitch to Henry Sadler and Elizabeth Linford Orton. She married our father, Lois Elton "Fuzz" Chidester, in the Manti LDS Temple on June 3, 1926. After 69 years of marriage, he preceded her in death November 24, 1995.

Mom was always sharing and giving. She was an excellent cook and pie maker. As a dedicated homemaker, she always made everyone welcome that came to her home and shared her cooking talents.

She was an active member of the BPW as well as other civic clubs. She excelled in quilting and loved her association with all the quilters. She loved to spend time in her garden and can and preserve her harvest.

She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served as president of the Relief Society in both the ward and stake. She was a Primary and MIA worker and taught many Sunday School classes.

Of her many accomplishments in life, she is most proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Dee L. and Drexel Chidester of Milford, Arthur and Dorothy Chidester of Highland, Ted and Shirley Chidester, Lola and Earl Henrie, all of Panguitch; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Merle Erret of Burbank, Calif.; Lola Farnsworth of St. George, Emma Dee Houston of Kanab, Frank Orton of Panguitch, and Linford Orton of St. George.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Max Rex, Cecil, Dee, Dwayne; and grandson, Dennis Henrie.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 1996, at 1 p.m. in the Panguitch 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 200 North 400 East, Panguitch. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Panguitch Thursday morning from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
