William (Bill) Melvin Carlson, 63, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, died August 12, 1996.
Born April 13, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melvin J. and Pearl Edwards Carlson. Married Margie King in Midvale, Utah on November 30, 1951. Bill enjoyed traveling, rabbit hunting, spending time at the family cabin near Duschesne and studying all areas of aviation. A former employee of Rio Grande Building Products he also served on the Midvale City Planning Board for several years.Survivors: wife, Margie, Midvale; daughter, Bryce Clark, Lafayette, Colorado; sons, Tracy William (Sherrie), Henderson, Nevada; Ronald M., Hawaii; Cody K., LDS Mission to Brazil; grandchildren, Lonni, Lauren, Court and Morgan Clark; Taylor and Kyle Carlson; sister, Mrs. Richard (Shirleen) Maxfield, Riverton; brother-in-law, Max King, Richfield; also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services Friday, August 16, 1996, at 11 a.m. in the Midvale 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 425 Jackson St. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
The family expresses sincere thanks to Dr. Joseph Vick Roy and the nurses at Healthsouth Rehabilitation Center and to Ward Steet, Bill's physical therapist, for their kind and tender care.
