It is always heartening to see pictures, especially of children, like the one in the Aug. 8 Metro section of the Deseret News. There is hope in their message. They agree that wearing a uniform in school is a positive move in their interest.
When 10-year-old Matthew Densley can say, "I think I'll like it because it feels good and we won't be distracted with other people's clothes," we can take heart. He will be heard by his peers. The children who look forward to this change in their lives in a positive way are due our respect and congratulations. They are showing the pioneer spirit in wanting to introduce a move that will have a monstrous impact upon lives for good. The picture helps define "uniform" beautifully. There is variety that is pleasing to see. Who can deny that this will bring order out of chaos in the halls and classrooms of our school, and respect for others?
