Odetta Hales Bramwell, 100, died at home August 12, 1996 of natural causes.

She was born November 23, 1895 in Cedar Fort, Utah, daughter of Stephen Alexander Hales and Mary Ellen Fox Hales. She married Ernest Bramwell in 1925, he died in 1954. Mrs. Bramwell graduated in 1921 from a nurses training program at LDS Hospital and was a private duty nurse for over 30 years.She was a member of the 11th LDS Ward and served faithfully in the LDS Church as Seminary teacher, visiting teacher, Relief Society teacher, secretary in the Primary and Relief Society, Primary teacher and Primary counselor. She filled an LDS mission to Los Angeles, California and was a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 15 years.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jeane (Lionel) Farr, Salt Lake City; two sons, Craig (Marcy) Bramwell, Bonita, California; Stan (Dorothy) Bramwell, Dominican Republic; 18 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Hansen, Lynette Bowers, both Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by seven sisters, three brothers and her husband, Ernest.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 16th, 12:30 p.m., at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 So. Highland Dr. Family and friends may call Friday, August 16th from 11 to 12 Noon at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South.

Our family would like to thank Select Home Health and Services for the care, concern and love they have shown to our mother and grandmother.

Thanks for being our grandma, for helping us, for loving us, for your special root beer and for treats under the plate!
