Sandra Bullock's next movie isn't all that new.

A B-movie company said it will release "Lost Paradise" in early 1997, seven years after the low-budget drama was made, now that its co-star is a major box-office draw."I decided to hold the picture," said Roger Corman, whose Concorde-New Horizons made the movie. "It was tempting to release it right after `Speed,' but I felt she would get bigger and bigger."

"Lost Paradise" is about the murder of an Indian activist - not unlike the 1988 slaying of Chico Mendes, who worked to protect the Amazon rain forest.

Bullock is in the new John Grisham thriller "A Time to Kill."
