A British woman expecting eight babies can expect a hospital bill in the six figures - and the state-run health authority said Friday it may not pick up the tab.
Money has dominated the tabloid-sponsored saga of the very pregnant Mandy Allwood, 31, since she signed a contract to have her story published in News of the World, Britain's largest-selling tabloid. The newspaper has not revealed the story price but signaled that the more babies she bears, the more money she gets.
Her publicist, Max Clifford, believes she could make $1.5 million in sponsorship deals if all goes well.
"She only wants what is best for the babies," he said.
