Eudora Madsen Nielson, 86, died Sunday, August 18, 1996 at her home in St. George, of causes incident to age.
She was born June 21, 1910 in Ephraim, Utah, to Daniel F. and Mary A. Rasmussen Madsen. She attended Ephraim City Schools and graduated from Snow College in 1930, studying foods and nutrition. She married Glen E. Nielson, June 4, 1930 in the Manti LDS Temple. They spend the early years of their marriage in Ephraim, McGill, Nevada and Salt Lake City. They moved back to Ephraim in 1945. Glen died in 1985 and Eudora moved to St. George in 1991. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in all the auxiliaries.She is survived by four of her seven children, Gerald E. and Leila Ruth Nielson, Salt Lake City; Montie and Carol N. Orgill, Cedar City; Jay and Maria Nielson, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Dale and Lorraine Ross, St. George; and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen V. Nielson, Santa Clara; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Zella Madsen, Orem; and Eleanor P. Madsen, Ephraim. She was preceded in death by her husband, two infants, her son, David H. Nielson, five brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., August 21, 1996 in the Dixie Downs Chapel, 1184 No. Dixie Down Road, St. George, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be at the Ephraim Park Cemetery the same day at 5 p.m.
