Harmon Ernest Johnson was born April 30, 1915, and passed away peacefully, August 21, 1996, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Franklin, Idaho to Ernest John Johnson and Ruby Charlotta Peterson. He graduated from Utah State University and married Donna Crompton, February 24, 1939. Marriage later solemnized in the Logan Temple. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as bishop, High Priest Group leader, on the High Council, worked in the Salt Lake Temple and served in the Scotland Edinbourgh Mission with his beloved wife.He is survived by his wife; four children: Ray (Marilyn) Johnson; Ann (Perry) Gygi; Janet (Chuck) Solomon; and Kim (JoLynn) Johnson; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who honored and adored him - - (all felt he/she was his favorite one!); one sister, Idamae (Bill) Romm; brothers: Marlin (Kathryn) Johnson; Richard (Beth) Johnson; Charles Edward (Ruth) Johnson; Frank (Faye) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers, Don and Sidney Johnson.
Funeral Saturday, August 24, 1996 at 12 noon at the Cottonwood 12th Ward Chapel, 1750 East Spring Lane. Friends may call Friday evening, 7-9 p.m. at the McKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 So. Highland Drive and at the church, Saturday 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.
