First horseback riding, now golf. Kevin Costner had to learn how to swing a club - and hit the ball - for his latest role in "Tin Cup."

Hate the game? Don't worry, you'll still like the movie, Costner said."It's just a good girl-boy movie," said Costner, who plays a driving range pro who gets to play in the U.S. Open.

Costner and co-star Cheech Marin joined a group of professional golfers and celebrities in Louisville, Ky., including native son Muhammad Ali, for a special screening Monday night. The golfers were in town for the PGA Championship.

Costner, who rode a horse for "Dances With Wolves," wouldn't give away anything about the ending of his latest movie, which opens Aug. 16.

He also was mum on his score after playing 18 holes at a Louisville club before the screening.
