Edith Gay Cleverly, age 58, died August 6, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born April 21, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Raymond J. and Jean F. Cleverly. Active member of the LDS Church. She attended the Work Activity Center and Wasatch Artistic Creations for 23 years. Throughout Gay's life of physical hardship, Gay always displayed love, gentleness, intelligence and, most of all, determination. Her talents showed through her paintings, her love through her family and her church and her determination and inspiration showed through all who knew her. She surpassed her physical disabilities, finding joy in the moment, gathering friends to her, devising and doing things for herself. Her greatest joy was living independently. It was a great gift to know her.Survived by her mother and father; brothers, Jim and Rick, sister, Joan Christensen, sisters-in-law, Judy and Vickie, nephews, Curt, Scott, Jay and Matt, many aunts and uncles and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services Friday, August 9, 1996 at 2 p.m. in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East So. Temple. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
