Delta Air Lines is offering electronic ticketing on all flights between Salt Lake International Airport and Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C. The program eliminates paper tickets.
Lee Macenczak, managing director of reservation sales and distribution planning, said the electronic ticketing tests in 20 pairs of cities has been a success, and it now is being offered in 29 additional markets. When customers call Delta to book their flights, a reservation sales representative will offer the electronic ticketing option when the itinerary is eligible. Customers simply make a reservation and purchase their seats with a credit card.
Customers check in at the airport with appropriate identification and receive their boarding authority. This can be done at the curb when checking bags with a skycap, at the ticket counter, an information counter, the departure gate or the Crown Room club.
