The Utah State University Extension Service invites residents to improve their money-management skills by attending a series of workshops starting Thursday, Sept. 12.
Daytime classes are from 10 a.m. to noon in the Historic County Courthouse. Evening sessions are from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Heather Building of the Utah State Development Center in American Fork.The workshops will cover organizing important records, spending plans, money leaks, credit, insurance, investing, preparing for change and legal issues.
Participants work on their personal priorities.
The educational series costs $20 and includes an extensive workbook and handouts. Couples may attend together for the price of one. Some partial or full scholarships are available.
Credit is optional - two credits from Utah State University ($30 filing fee) or one quarter to one half credit toward adult high school completions (no additional cost). For more information call Judy Harris at USU Extension, 370-8479.
