For shame, Congressman Bill Orton. For shame that former President Jimmy Carter did not speak at our Democratic National Convention in Chicago. In fact, he did not even attend.

How come you, as a leader of our Utah delegation, didn't lead a protest over this demonstration of elitism? The Republicans were right when they said we were elitists. What better proof do they need than this. Shame on us all and you especially. You are our Democrat representative in Washington and leader of the party in Utah. This deliberate snub toward our former president was uncalled for. Maybe he was not a "Slick Willie" politician, but he is certainly a man of great character. What an example of us all as a humanitarian.Tom Larsen
