Margaret Bowen Petersen, age 105, beloved mother, grandmother and special friend, passed away January 8, 1997.
Born July 2, 1891 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John W. and Ann Densley Bowen. Married John Milton Petersen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 24, 1914. Milton preceded her in death November 12, 1971. Margaret taught school throughout Utah for over 37 years and then after reaching 80 years of age, she continued to teach as a substitute teacher. She was recognized with many awards for her teaching efforts.Survivors: daughter, Robyn Petersen Wing, Sherman Oaks, California; grandchildren, J. Peter Fiske, Dixon D. Fiske, Jon Petersen, Fawn Petersen; five great grandchildren; among her many nieces and nephews, special care was given by Martin and Beth Bowen.
The family expresses thanks to the Crosslands Health Care Center and Evelyn Pierce for all their assistance and special care given to Margaret.
Funeral services Saturday, January 11, 1997 at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
