Frank Julius Lemperle, age 88, passed peacefully away on Dec. 28, 1996 of Alzheimer disease in Brigham City, Utah.
Born November 20, 1908 in Rexburg, Idaho to Julius and Anna Loertscher Lemperle. Married Phyllis Emma Mugleston on March 1, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death. He later married Bethany Chaffin who also preceded him in death.He had his own construction company and constructed several buildings for the LDS Church. He served an LDS mission as construction supervisor in the England and Scotland areas. He was an active member of the LDS Church and held several positions including Bishop of the 32nd Ward and High Councilman in the Pioneer Stake.
He is survived by two sons, Alvin Frank (Beverly) Lemperle; and John David (Judith) Lemperle; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 1997, at 12 noon, at the Poplar Grove Ward, 1401 West 7th South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Friday evening 6-8 p.m., and at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
