The National Association for Child Development has leased 5,000 square feet of space in downtown Ogden's Weber Center and will move its national headquarters there effective March 1.

Alexander Doman, NACD vice president, said the Weber Center is the ideal downtown location for the organization. The group currently is located at 1140 E. 36th Street.Doman said hundreds of parents and professionals from around the world visit the NACD each for evaluations, training, conferences and medical services. "The sky walk to the Ogden City Mall, close proximity to downtown hotels, restaurants and the Egyptian Conference Center couldn't be better suited for the needs of our out-of-town clients," he said.

The new space will allow the organization to hire more staff and start new programs to meet its expected growth of 30-50 percent in the next six years, Doman said.
