Richard S. Frary is the new president of the National Society of the Sons of Utah Pioneers.
"Our mission to honor early pioneers for their faith in God, devotion to family, loyalty to church and country is especially significant in this 150th year celebration of their entering the Utah Territory."The Sons of Utah Pioneers has 44 chapters in the United States. Its members plan to trek from Nauvoo, Ill., to Salt Lake City in July, following the pioneers' 1847 trail as closely as possible.
