Richard George Fernau, age 65, died January 22, 1997 in a Salt Lake hospital.
He was born August 8, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Werner "Tex" and Alta Johnson Fernau. He married Patricia Brown, Nov. 23, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and enjoyed playing cards, golf and traveling. He had been a resident of St. George for the past 10 years and had recently returned to Tooele.He is survived by his wife, a brother, David of St. George, 18 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 1997 at 11 a.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 So. Main St., Tooele, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment Tooele City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association.
