HB162, sponsored by Rep. Brent H. Goodfellow, D-West Valley City, now moves to the full House for consideration. The bill allows groups subject to the Utah Open Meetings Act to hold meetings electronically - by telephone, Internet, videoconference, satellite, etc.The bill requires the group holding a meeting to set up at least one anchor location from which the proceedings originate and are controlled. The anchor location also must be set up to allow members of the public to participate in and view the proceedings.
