Margaret O. Bell passed away Friday, January 24, 1997 in Salt Lake City of heart failure.
She was born October 14, 1911 in Moran, Wyoming, located by the Jackson Lake Dam. She was a daughter of John Cravens Rutherford and Mabel Fuller. She grew up in Jackson, Wyoming. Riding horses and hard work was her life. She married Vern A. Bell on December 10, 1937 in Elko, Nevada. Later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on September 12, 1952. She worked for the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph in Jackson from 1950 to 1964, transferring to Salt Lake City, UT in 1964. She retired from the US West Telephone Company with 25 years of service. She was an active member in the LDS Church serving in many positions. She was a loving mother, who gave all she could to her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her kindness and labors of love.She is survived by her husband Vern A. Bell; two children: Betty Earley, husband Melvin, Blanding, UT, and Charles E. Bell, wife Thora, Salt Lake City, UT; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Rutherford and Grover Bassett.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, January 27, 1997 at the Valley View 4th Ward Chapel, 2125 Evergreen Avenue (3435 South). Where family and friends may call from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment,
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
