Our beloved husband, brother and uncle, Howard Lee Christensen, age 83, died January 23, 1997 in Richfield.

He was born February 7, 1913 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, a son of Levi and Tamor Mangum Christensen. He married Vee Beth Rasmussen, July 26, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served as Branch President in Gandy, Utah and Caineville, Utah. He served three stake missions, one in Nevada and two in Wayne County. He was the secretary in the Seventy's Quorum in the Wayne and Loa Stake for over 30 years. He and his wife, Vee, worked in the Manti Temple doing sealings. They also worked as janitors for the schools in Bicknell, the Thurber Ward building and the Seminary building. Howard was a rancher, farmer, logger and plumber. He loved to go fishing and knew where all the good holes were to be found.He will be greatly missed by his companion of 56 plus years, Vee, of Bicknell; his brother: Rex Christensen of Bay Shore, New York and many kind and loving nieces and nephews, who thought the world of Uncle Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Duane Christensen and Quinton Christensen.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel in Bicknell, where friends may call for viewing Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 11-12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
