Louis Benassi, 80, passed away January 26, 1997, in a Sandy care center.
Born April 10, 1916, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, to Dante and Teresa Jean Nicola Benassi. Married Jean Midgley in 1939; she died September 19, 1995. Retired locomotive engineer with 39 years of service with Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. Avid outdoorsman. Loved fishing and gardening. Owned and operated the Cottonwood Floral.Survived by a son, Brent; three grandsons, Jason, Brett and James; two great-grandchildren, Tonisa and Trevor; brother, Joseph; two half-sisters, Norma Ramoselli, Albena Aiello.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 29th, 1 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where visitation will be from 12:30-1 p.m. Inurment, Murray City Cemetery.
