Our beloved Dimple Morrell Alvey Flugrad, age 78, died January 28, 1997, at her home in Fremont of a heart attack.

She was born August 26, 1918, in Fremont, the last of 14 children born to George and Emma Sophia Elizabeth Albrecht Morrell. She married Angus Mayfield Alvey, April 18, 1941 in Fremont, Utah. He died January 21, 1944. She married Joseph Harvey "Henry" Flugrad, July 12, 1946 in Ely, Nevada. He died May 17, 1977.Dimple served as secretary to the Fremont Water Works and the Fremont Cemetery for 20 years. She served as a visiting teacher for 25 years. She was president of the DUP Camp Geyser for 12 years and was an active member for the past 25 years. In 1938, Dimple was crowned the first Rodeo Queen of Wayne County.

She is survived by her children, Pat and Peter Martin of Yucca Valley, CA; Kit Flugrad of Healdsburg, CA; Bob and Cynthia Flugrad of West Jordan; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dan Flugrad and William Angus Alvey; nine brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 1997, at 1 p.m. in the Fremont LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Friday from 11-12:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Fremont Cemetery, directed by Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina.
